We Help Foundation was started after the completion of several projects with other UK registered charities. The two charity officers would each year donate from their own Zakat and Sadaqah to projects they had identified a need for. In 2018 they then decided to form their own UK registered charity so they could increase the volume of projects they are involved in.
We are still firmly committed to partnering with registered organisations to help us deliver aid and projects in locations that they have a infrastructure and network.
We currently offer grants to private individuals in order to help them get achieve qualifications and enter sustainable employment.
At the moment because we are a small charity, we can operate a 100% donation policy as all costs are absorbed by the trustees and work is undertaken by a brilliant volunteer network. We have no rent or office costs as the charity officers allow use of their premises.
This may change with growth and if we ever need to hire staff on payroll. To date every project has been funded by We Help Foundation with no external donations. Moving forward, external donors will now be given the opportunity to contribute to all projects.
The charity officers fully funded this prior to founding We Help and the donation was made via PT Academy. This project was delivered on our behalf by Ethar Relief. We are very grateful to Ethar Relief for their tireless work and updates with relation to this clinic and we will commit further funding to it.
Between 2015 and 2017, the charity officers committed to the funding of an orphan girls home in Pakistan. The original plans changed mid-way and a bigger and larger building was constructed. It can house up to 100 girls. Our donation was made by PT Academy, the additional funding was provided by Orphans in Need UK and the project was delivered by Orphans in Need Pakistan. The home was named Bayt-Al-Mariam (The house of Mariam) - named after one of the charity officers.
We are proud to have had the opportunity to partner with Orphans In Need - a charity that we love and respect and that has really set the benchmark and standard for orphans care and standard of living. certainly an organisation and charity that we wish to work with again.
In November 2018, following our chairman's visit to Sudan, We Help Foundation pledged to fully fund phase one (the build) of this much needed hospital in Shagrab refugee camp, East Sudan. Phase one is the build of the actual hospital and not the kit out of the wards, labs or rooms. The hospital was completed in December 2019 and serves over 50,000 people, both refugees and villagers. The hospital was pivotal in the fight against Covid in 2020. The full donation was provided by PT Academy.
Once again we are over joyed that the delivery partner in Sudan was Ethar Relief. This is a project that we will be committing to. We will be contributing to the monthly costs of staff salaries and medical supplies.
In September 2020, after the formation of We Help Foundation, the charity pledged to build a much needed hospital in famine stricken Yemen, We pledged phase one which covers the entire cost of the build.
The hospital is one of our largest commitments to date and is expected to serve up to 100,000 people. Once again we have partnered with Ethar Relief and this is a project that we intend to support moving forward indefinitely. If you would like to help support or fundraise, please get in touch asap.
This project is currently under construction and we anticipate it will be completed in early 2022.
We are aiming to send a container in December 2021 laden with urgent food, blankets and supplies before the harsh bitter winter sets in.
The container will hold 40 pallets and the total cost of the container including shipping and transport is £18,000.
We have sourced high quality goods at very competitive prices and would like to make this urgent appeal immediately.
We are now offering learning grants to private individuals to aid them into sustainable employment.
We currently fund up to 50% of the cost of learning for selected vocational qualifications and courses and have preferred training providers we work with. including NetCom and PT Academy.
To be considered, you must go through their enrolment and approval process and study a regulated course.
