We are aiming to send a container laden with urgent food, blankets and supplies before the harsh bitter winter sets in.
The container will hold 40 pallets and the total cost of the container including shipping and transport is £18,000.
We have sourced high quality goods at very competitive prices and need to collect this money urgently.
An example from previous containers that have been sent is:
Birmingham to Syria.
(40 pallet consignment)
18 pallets x large (chep) pallets of rice, dry, long grain, whole meal, basmati.
3 pallets x tinned chopped tomatoes
2 pallets x tinned plum tomatoes
1 pallet x Assorted seasoning
1 pallet x Tins and Jars
2 pallets x assortment condiments
1 pallet x chickpeas and black beans
1 pallet x chick peas and black beans and mixed beans
3 pallets x assorted men’s warm winter clothes inc. jackets
2 pallets x warm ladies tracksuits
3 pallets x babies knitted clothing
3 pallets x bales of 50 sleeping bags
The average cost of each pallet is £450 (naturally this varies from pallet to pallet - but this is a guide) and I’m hoping we can get 40 ppl or businesses to commit to a pallet each.
The container will leave Birmingham from Bromford in the first week of December and will be delivered first hand.
